The Pink Brigade 2016 Kicks Off!

Now in it’s phenomenal third year, The Pink Brigade are on the march again for 2016, led by Chef Robbie Stokes, raising awareness for the early detection of breast cancer through encouraging all big hearted Chefs across the world, to wear personalised, pink ribbon Chefs Jackets to show their support and allegiance.

It’s that time of the year where we again start thinking about all things pink and the Pink Brigade are on the march again for 2016.  Now in our third year, having been started by Robbie in 2014, this amazing awareness and fundraising campaign for breast cancer awareness has managed to bring chefs together from the UAE, UK, Australia and Canada raising over AED100,000 and much needed awareness for the early detection and support for those affected by breast cancer. Both Robbie and Russell are really keen to get going again with this years campaign and would once again ask for our awesome industry to come together as one for this years campaign and make a real difference.

We would love to take this campaign even further afield if we can, and therefore, if there are any other chefs in other countries that you feel would like to be involved, please do get in touch; it would be great to take this campaign that Robbie started here in Dubai, to as many countries as we possibly can. As in previous years, Julie Adams is on board too and behind the scenes working her magic to help really shine the spotlight on this wondeful F ‘n B industry driven charity movement.

Our good friends at Bragard will once again be supplying this years jackets and we have added the year 2016 to the logo to it, so a slight difference.  An alternative to the jacket this year and a big thanks to Gavin and the team at Ronai, we have added a vibrant pink apron! So no excuses not to get involved… Only the best Chefs wear pink!!

The Jacket remains at AED 100 per piece and the Aprons at AED 50. Deadline for all orders is the 10th September in order to get the jackets and Aprons to you in time. As last couple years the payment must be made to confirm the order by10th September, otherwise unfortunately we cannot process the order.

So how to get involved?  Attached to this email is the order forms for jackets and aprons and size guidelines for jackets only (aprons all come one size)(please use the range sizing xs, m,l, xxl etc) – please fill out and send back it back to:  enquiries@pink-brigade.com

As last year, all the money received will go towards supporting the Pink Caravan, a nationwide initiative launched by the friends of cancer patients (FOCP). Early detection is key to treating this disease and The Pink Caravan has offered early detection screening to over 29’000 women and men of all ages and nationalities during the past four years across the country. A great cause to support.

-Your organization’s social media references (hashtag’s and account name of your restaurant, hotel or company).

All pictures will be posted on The Pink Brigade official accounts via social media platforms with your hashtags or names in order for you to repost and share it.
